Dermody and the environment.

Dermody Petroleum and BP are conscious of the environmental concerns facing our world and our future.

As a company BP believe it is possible to find solutions to the world's need for energy and mobility, with less impact on the environment.

In Australia, BP are currently making significant investments in their refineries to produce cleaner, less polluting fuels. They are actively encouraging federal and state governments to tighten fuel standards to reduce greenhouse gases and improve air quality.

Since 1998, BP Australia has invested in excess of AUD$350 million in cleaner fuels, including cleaner diesel and lead replacement alternatives.

BP is bringing viable options for the consumer to the market, making a positive and sustainable contribution to the environment by reducing vehicle emissions with the minimum impact on consumer convenience.

The introduction of BP EcoUltra, BP Ultimate and lead replacement petrol are examples of BP's commitment to better national standards.

Australia's cleanest petrol, BP Ultimate, is a high-octane high performance fuel, which has significantly lower levels of benzene and sulphur than the national standard. Available at selected country BP sites, including BP Nuriootpa and BP Kingston, the first fuel to receive greenhouse friendly certification will soon be available at other sites in the future.

Also leading the way environmentally, BP was the first company to introduce lead replacement fuel into South Australia, and BP EcoUltra is one of the cleanest diesel fuels in the world, with a sulphur content more than 100 times below the national standard.

Cleaner fuels make a difference by improving the local and urban environment and contributing to better air quality for all by reducing vehicle emissions.

Cleaner fuels means cleaner burning and reduced emissions, with no loss to performance.

BP and Dermody Petroleum will continue to work towards a cleaner environment for the future.
